2013 Season Wrap Up
2013 was another great year for the Panther Track teams with the boys and girls both setting school records. On the boys side John Ross set school records in both the 100 meters and 200 meters in addition to being Moore League Champion in both events. John's times were 10.66 for the 100 meters and 21.56 in the 200 meters. His time in the 100 broke his own school record; and in the 200 he broke a 18 year old mark held by LaJuan Gibbons. On the girls side Jasmine Fao shattered the school record in the Shot Put by over 2 and a half feet with an excellent mark of 39'1". The old mark was held by Karen Jones in 1985.
In addition to the school records LaTroya Franklin once again was a state meet finalist in the 100 and 200 meters.
Congratulations to all Panthers for another excellent season.
School Records Fall
The 2012 season saw three new school records for the Track Team. In the Boys 100 Meters junior John Ross set a new record of 10.78 breaking the old record set in 1995 by Lajuan Gibbons of 10.83. John placed 4th in the CIF Southern Section Division 1. On the girls side junior LaTroya Franklin set a new record in the 100 meters of 11.63 breaking the old record set in 1983 by Lisa Winston of 11.64. LaTroya finished first in the Moore League, second in CIF southern section and 4th in the State.

Older stories will be posted first, return to the site from time to time to see what has been added.
